Oxford college offers students £300 per year for travel expenses
From October 2019, all undergraduates at The Queen's College, Oxford who have Home UK fee status and live 125 miles or more from Oxford will be entitled to a non-repayable grant of £100 per term (£300 per year), intended to cover travel costs to and from Oxford.
The College has committed to this scheme for an initial five year period from October 2019 to June 2024, because students from distant regions of the UK are currently under-represented at Oxford. The College wants to help change this, by offering practical financial support to offset the greater costs associated with travelling longer distances to attend university.
